Hands-On Groom

My printer suddenly stopped working last night, just when I was doing the trial postcards for our wedding! (quick fyi - instead of formal invites, we'll be sending postcards with short invitations, with a note at the end to use our website instead, for the rest of the details. Actually this is just for the "oldies" relatives who have no access to online/soft copies stuff! anyway...)

It's frustrating. Imagine going home with the specialty boards you bought to excitedly make an artsy fartsy invite by DIY, suddenly you can't do it. You know that feeling?! I texted Lou about the tiny childish rant, asking him if we should buy a new cheap-o printer (since it is cheaper than to have it fixed. also cheaper than having our invites printed outside), or to just find a cheap-o printing place who can use the boards we already have.

As always, his reply was "Don't worry, I'll take care of it. :)"

...that's when I stopped troubleshooting, decided to let go of the printer, kept the boards for now, and slept the night away. HAHA!

Really, he's my human tranquilizer! But I feel bad lately, because when it comes to this wedding, he always ends up doing things that brides usually worry about.

-he designed our rings, he set all the meetings with our jeweler
-he's the one asking and confirming things with our venue contact person
-he got the photographer for a really good rate (cousin Alvin Guevara!)
-he got a photographer friend to do a photoshoot for our website images, for free!
-he found someone to partially sponsor our cake - officemate's wife!
(and the list continues...)

Uhm, brides worry about EVERYTHING, so.. yes he's been doing everything so far! Well Except for 3 things - my gown, our entourage's gowns, and our website (if he's into html and css, he'll probably do that too).

Of course, I still had to do my part - to say yes or no. haha! I'd like to think that this is because between us 2, he's the mr. congeniality who has lots, really lots of connections. And after all, we're getting married in his hometown.

But yeah... I know right! SHAME ON ME!

As for those invites and busted printer, we have no plan B yet. Ah, it's still far in our timeline anyways, maybe we should walk around malls (TOGETHER THIS TIME) to get ideas. :)

Sweet naman ni Lou! :) Okay lang yan, Leds. Brides don't have to do the wedding planning alone. ;)
