langyang online booking
2 nights ago I booked for some hotel in kuala lumpur. Since I'll be arriving at 1am of Jan 5, I booked for Jan 4. Then the policy was displayed, saying that if by Jan 4 7pm I'm still not there, it would be considered as "no show". So I modified it and changed it to Jan 5. For some reasons, I couldn't change the date. It kept on displaying Jan 4 as my check in date even though I've selected Jan 5 over and over.
The next day, a friend helped out and changed my reservation to Jan 5 successfully (I dunno how that happened, so weird right?). Minutes later we realized that it just didn't seem right coz technically I’ll use a room that should be reserved for the night of Jan 4 right!? So I put the reservation back to Jan 4 ...and decided to call the hotel instead to clarify that I'm arriving at 1am.
(yes apparently, modifying is allowed at no cost)
I called them twice, but each conversation didn't end right... all because I couldn't understand the English. The guy who kept on answering the phone had an Indian accent. At each call though, I was able to tell them my confirmation number and who I am. I gave up till last night, luckily an English speaking girl answered the phone... she said that if I want to clarify anything about the reservation, I should call the next morning.
Arrgh. k fine. I called this morning... then guess what, the same girl answered the phone! After I said hello, she immediately said:
"ah yes, you are ms. aleydis cabrera. you called 3 times and modified your reservation 5 times. your reservation for January 4 is already ok." (sweet, friendly voice)
ako pa ang makulit :-|and how did she recognize my voice...? am I the hotel's only caller since last night? haha!
I then said that I'm arriving at 1am of Jan 5, meaning if I don't show up by 7pm of Jan 4, it is not a "no-show".
She said that the reservation's good till the next day, so I have nothing to worry about my reservation, which I modified 5 times --she again stressed out.
ok oo na. limang beses. I get it. haha!
