Udon Night!

Wednesday, I went back to New Hatchin to buy udon noodles and Japanese rice, and ended up buying fried tofu as well. Finally too I asked about their macha powder - good news, they do sell it ...Bad news, it's always out of stock, and their next refill is next next week! Oh well! Anyway, coz of the nama (raw) udon and fried tofu I got, and the cute fish cakes I discovered in Shopwise, I came up with a new dish the next day: YAKIUDON.

Yakiudon

You can check out my recipe at http://muntingkusina.blogspot.com/ -- It's my new blog by the way, intended solely for my recipes. I came up with this because I keep on forgetting the ingredients and proportions each time I cook something for the 2nd time!

Anyway, Lou and I were both happy with the new dish, that we decided - From now on, Thursday night is UDON NIGHT. Which is actually a challenge because you can't really cook a lot of variations using udon, or any kind of noodles. AND, so far, recipes on our queue are quite complicated - Kare Udon and Udon in Laksa Soup!
