Swedish Massage, Diamond Peel, and more. Is it my birthday???

Finally, I had the chance to use the The Spa gift certificate from Eds, Sally and Marcy. Thanks soooo much, it was HEAVEN!!! Everything's so neat -the sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi, lounge, locker room, the services, everything. I maximized them all! and of course, my Swedish massage! It really relaxed me! I love love love it! Now I'm rejuvenated, thank you guys! (I've always thought The Spa is waaay too pricey. Now I know why!)

I was about to go home when I remembered another freebie that's valid till today. So I browsed through my phone messages then found it, dated Oct 30: "Happy Birthday from Healthway! We're giving you a FREE Diamond Peel from Clarity, valid until end of November!". I've been putting it aside thinking it's just a "free-1-session-then-spend-for-more-sessions-after" type of promo, you know what I mean? haha!

Then I thought it won't hurt to ask. besides I was already there in ATC, right? So I headed to Healthway then asked about it. The girl there said, it's nice to get such treatment once a month BUT you could get it for just one time. So.. It really is a treat!!!

With no hesitations I took the offer then experienced Diamond Peel for the first time! WOW, after the treatment all my pores and tiny whiteheads were gone!!! I'm so glad I took the promo! it was the last day and I never planned it, so I can say it was really meant to happen! haha!

Anyway for those interested, I asked about the regular prices. It's normally P1800 but you could get it for P500 between 8am-11am. the flyer said it's "P500 off" but the girl clarified that it's "P500 all in all". Better ask! number is 772-3527 (Healthway ATC).

These are the things I wished for my birthday! I skipped them all as I needed more sleep that time. Well, I could think that today's my birthday, right? ...I just opened 2 awesome birthday gifts!!! (and I can't believe I pampered myself today, 100% free of charge! hahaha!)

President to... Congresswoman?!?!?!

I've always been pro-GMA. but not this time.
MAJOR. TURN. OFF.

On moving out, disposing, disposing and DISPOSING

I'm moving out!!!

It's a long long long story, summary is, my parents are shifting to a more practical retirement lifestyle, which got me thinking: I am 26 now, the only one left single, acting as the only child since high school. I'm too old to be fed and pampered under their roof, I'm earning enough and too prepared to still get a part of their daily budget. it's time to move on and live on my own. A lot may not understand, or it may sound absurd (in our pinoy culture, where there's close family ties ek ek), but I don't care, it's a lifestyle I've been dreaming of for a long long long time. Now’s the time, I’ve got no more excuse to delay. plus I've got the full support of my parents and sisters!

So... I need a place (a condo or apartment for rent for a start), AND a new job, probably, if I get a new home outside of South -which will most like happen because I don't really see myself settling here in Alabang. A lot suggested to get a job first, so I'd know where to settle, also coz it's really risky to move out with no stable income. That's right, but I'm thinking, getting a place first could be that leverage I've been waiting for to move on with all the work drama. LOL, it's a chicken and egg problem!

-----

Anyway, forget it. what I really want to do for the next few days is to DISPOSE. This is my first priority. Years ago, my family experienced moving from a big house to a small house, without disposing much, so I know how important this task is, how chaotic when overlooked, believe me. haha! So, this time I want to do it as early as possible.

I'm glad that I've used this long weekend to dispose:
- 5 tote bags
- small stuff like old pouches, keychains, eyeglasses, etc., and
- A LOT of small figurines

or things I never used/appreciated for the past 3 years at least. If you've given me one before (like HS or college days), sorry but I really have to dispose them. LOL. when I say dispose though, it meant "donate to helper" and "put to trash" -latter means someone will always get them, someone will either sell them or reuse them. even if these stuff reach the dump sites.

All in all, I disposed 2 huge trash bags this weekend, but that doesn't sound good actually. I still have:
- 10 pairs of seldom-used shoes, more or less
- old clothes, which I love but are already too small for me (haha!)
- old kiddie and teeny books I used to love
- a really old computer monitor
- a really old HP printer AND
- the biggest of them all, an old school computer desk

I can't just throw them away, thinking I could either donate or sell them. or let some friends arbor the really good ones. But for now I have no concrete idea. haha! any suggestions?

* edit - this explains why I gave up my sticker card :)

My Blurty - revisited!

A friend and I got to talk about my blogging history, then ended up reading my really old posts in my blurty. One thing I realized: I'm no longer as godly as before. No, I'm not saying I was genuinely banal or anghel or what, I was just plain godly before - more into prayers, bible reading, and reflecting, and all those stuff - more into things I barely do now. So what happened??! haha! Anyway, I'd like to repost one (I love all of them, they remind me of what I'm capable of! but I'm posting just one...)

Together as ONE
Aug 7, 2004

And so it happened -- the big gathering we planned a long time ago (just a month ago, actually). Every religious org in La Salle was there: Youth for Christ, Servants of the Lord's Vineyard, Student Catholic Action, Spirit of Faith Community and LSPO's Lasallian Animators. It was a success! Everyone of us there had the chance to know our brothers and sisters in other organizations, and realized that there are still a lot of people in DLSU sharing the same faith.

For SOLV, it was really an enlightening event. our small number bothered me at one point, thinking that people must've forgotten to know the importance of knowing Christ... but when i saw the number of people who attended the gathering, i realized that there are still thousands of reasons why we shouldn't stop evangelizing. there are so many people called to serve but sometimes, we see only perhaps hundreds of them... for we are actually assigned by God in different venues. God had to put me in this big gathering in order to realize all of these.

My prof scheduled our physics exam on the same day (Aug.6), so i was not able to attend the mass and the group sharings (and also the pancit and pichipichi. aaw.. mwehehehe). Last night, I felt bad because of that thought, but i realized that serving isn't all about getting what you planted. Instead of fussing over the thought, i felt glad and somehow fulfilled because in all those times we planned (together with each org's representative), i gained friends and insights on how events like this could really make a difference...

I know I once said that I was more appreciative back in college. but when I got to re-read my blurty, my much much older blog than my LJ (blurty = college days still), I realized that the term appreciative isn't enough! Not that I was a so good person, but I can say I was someone better. I dealt with things positively, turned to prayers and discernments almost all the time. haha.

Well, things really change... Now I'm wondering when it all started. My friend's reply: Ask not WHEN you stopped. Ask WHY. yeah, so right! Well... maybe... it doesn't matter at all. For now, I have a lot of reviving to do... hehe.

[Noise] Polluted no more!

Finally, after days of postponing, I bought myself a pair of... EARPLUGS. Now all I could hear is my own breathing and swallowing, the loud music's beat at a reeeally low volume (someone's music here is REALLY loud without the plugs, I tell you. hence I bought these), AND the servers' sound, which is waaaay softer this time! Then I can't hear keyboards, mouseclicks nor ring tones!

Oh, and there seem to be no one around! well, almost. some are like whispering, while some from afar are like lip sync-ing! LOL! hahaha!

I can't believe I just freed myself from the (obscure) noise pollution here! This is a very very very good stress reliever! Try it!!! Only for P13!!! Thanks Abby for the idea btw. This is fun fun fun. hehe!

2012

Contrary to what most people say in forums.... 2012 isn't dragging! well, at least for me! I loved the thrill! let's say it's a combination of Titanic, Dante's Peak and Armageddon, plus really fantastic visual effects. hehe.

The plot's just a bit typical though, like in most disaster movies where there's a lil touch of romance, a selfish villain, a bad guys death, good guy's death too, a last minute heroic act, and a happy ending. Oh, and the forever famous destruction of The White House!

Expect those too perfect scenes btw. Like that scene when the plane was about to take off, with the sinking runway right before the plane's tail, or that scene when they drove during earthquake with splitting roads and collapsing bridges. Still, none of the actors died. haha!

The movie is too long (over 2 hours!) but all in all it's worth your time. If you opt to watch it in DVD instead, you'll miss the excitement, the almost real thing in THX: the earthquakes, tsunamis, and all those heart-pounding stuff you could think of in a sci-fi disaster movie.

My most awaited VL (Virthday Leave)

I fervently wait for my birthday as early as the first Ber day. Not really because I'm excited to be a year older, nor I have special ways to celebrate it. but because it's the only time of the year when I (feel that I) have all the right not to work. Yeah, since 2005, my birthday meant no work day!

Anyway, I nearly didn't get that tradition this year, when we had to prep up for something really big at work. Good that it was TOO BIG, thus it made me accumulate OT hours, good enough to take that traditional leave. este, offset. hehe. too bad though that I had to go home at 3am. well, it's better than having work the entire day!

-----

I was about to fall into deep sleep WHEN suddenly I remembered I have gifts to open!!! so I got up again then started opening the gifts I kept under my bed since that McDo birthday! haha! enough of high EQ! It is my birthday, I have all the right to act like a kid again right?! haha! Anyway, thanks ST peeps, I love them!

I woke up at 11 am. It's a bit late so I immediately got up, then started making dark chocolate ice cream (improved version!!!), so it would be frozen by dinner time! Yeah, I skipped the usual solo pigout and shopping, they could wait. I knew I needed more rest. THEN GUESS WHAT. just a few hours after putting the mix in the freezer... ELECTRICITY WENT OFF! BOOOOOO!

my mom's masseuse came, SO I HAD A FULL BODY MASSAGE INSTEAD, zen na zen ang feeling, punong puno ng kandila yung kwarto e. aroma and petals nalang ang kulang. LOL. hahaha! Then I psyched myself that I should no longer worry about my ice cream, it could wait till Saturday. Besides, mama made mango float, and my sister bought cake. hehe.

Mama cooked yummy penne ala something something (Salmon + Bacon + Bechamel sauce. She also didn't know how it's called. haha.) Ate Minnie came with her cake, then Papa as usual, led the birthday prayer. I'm so blessed to have my loved ones around! that, and the fantastic dinner, covered all the hassles brought by the brownout! haha! Btw, we were about to enjoy the candlelit dinner, when the electricity got back! haha!

then that's it, I had to sleep early because of work. the pause is over! I texted a close friend actually, "lahat ng plano ko di natuloy, di ako naka shopping, di ako nakapag pa pedicure. paggawa lang ng ice cream ang natuloy pero nag brownout pa!". haha!

Honestly though, I found the whole thing funny. I felt like I deserve all cancelled plans and unwanted surprises, after getting so much attention from a party I never had in my entire life. hahaha!

I know too that at the end of the day, what really matters is not the celebration, nor the food, nor the greetings, or what. what matters is that I had another birth day -a mark that He has blessed me again with another year full of challenges, laughters, and LOVE. Thank You Lord!

Ingat sa Mandurukot!

This morning I saw an actual "snatching", right before my very eyes! I was on the jeepney when the guy infront of me grabbed the bag of a student beside him (victim is a guy, about 17 yrs old). But before the snatcher could get off the jeep, WHICH WAS MOVING FAST BY THE WAY, the student was able to pull back his bag. The snatcher kept on pulling too, but the student never gave in. till finally the snatcher decided to get off and run quickly (at that point, the driver already stopped, maybe figured out what was happening!)

It turns out that the bag was the snatcher's bag! the student just pulled it because he believes that it has his stuff which the snatcher has been stealing the whole ride (hindi pala siya snatcher, mandurukot siya!). The student figured that out perhaps because the side pocket of his bag (a different bag, his real bag this time) had lots of cuts already. smart one! anyway, he scrutinized that snatcher's bag (dunno if he found any of his stuff) then threw it on the face of "guy B" beside him -and who's this guy? the snatcher's friend. yeah, I remember, guy B and the snatcher knew each other! They were talking to each other when I got in! So, as everyone was watching the entire commotion, guy B eventually got off too. I dunno if he was embarrassed or not, but either way he showed no remorse. nor fear. kapal! I wonder how many times they do it everyday?!

There, whew. I'm glad nothing really violent happened. I'm glad too I wasn't the victim, I could have freaked out. OR I would never notice the cuts on my bag till all the bad guys left. Though... on 2nd thought, if it was me, nothing bad could've happened... I learned from experience (I think! though, I believe anyone can be stupid anytime still!): When I was in college my cellphone was stolen, from that same style -I rode a jeep in buendia, then came 2 guys -one sat on my left, then the other on my right. the one on my left kept on moving towards me, but I thought it was because there are too many passengers on our row. Well, admittedly, I was a bit absent minded too that time. The next thing I knew the guys were gone, along with my cellphone. My bag had a tiny cut too -about the size of the phone's width. pro!

Since then, I've been so extra conscious of guys sitting too close (aka nanggigitgit). There was a time actually when I rode a jeepney somewhere in Susana then noticed that 3-4 guy passengers were already there. They seemed to know each other, BUT they let me sit between them. After sitting down for about 3 seconds, I stopped the jeep then transferred to a different one. I just can't trust that setup again.

So there, I just want to share that: it's christmas season once again, pickpockets are everywhere, so please be extra careful with your belongings, whether it's morning or afternoon or night, they choose no specific time during this season! Do not sit between two people if you think they know each other. Especially on jeepneys.

(and what's the relation between christmas and need for money btw? For the family's keso de bola or hamonado? Really, I don't understand why some has to do such grave thing to celebrate Jesus' birthday. HELLO!?)

It's never too late for a McDo KIDDIE PARTY!!!

...In fact, Bev and I just had one! Even though 1) The original branch we wanted was under renovation (Greenbelt! we didn't know!) 2) it was impossible to distribute hard copy invitations to old friends within three weeks and 3) McDonald's at that time, can't provide spaghetti because their commissary was flooded by Ondoy! SO... we moved the party to The Fort, then distributed this colorful e-nvitation instead THEN luckily, Mcdo's spaghetti came back days before we had to finalize the menu! yay!!! I'm so happy we pulled it off! Oh yes (look at our invitation!) we chose the Hannah Montana theme! Some got excited, some reacted violently, while some didn't know who hannah montana was! LOL!

Then Nov. 14 came! (adult time ito, 6-8 PM!)
Look, our hannah montana banner, prizes ang loot bags! :)

and our party hats!
(yes even the hats had to be hannah montana haha!)

Our college friends were there (our common college friends), mostly from ST, so it turned out to be a mini reunion too! It was really fun because everyone was into it -they wore hats, ran after kid mcdo for pictures (seriously. haha) AND joined in games even if it just meant getting hannah montana freebies. even the guys. haha!

pyramid game - soooo funny!
I'll upload the video anytime this week!

It could be an "early midlife crisis" thing, or just a "cheaper treat", but whatever you call it, IT WAS FUN! and I can say it's much better than having that typical dinner-inuman in a pinoy resto -where you eat on a so long table then end up talking to just 3-5 people! right?

A lot has been asking btw why kid mcdo was there instead of ronald mcdonald (some asked, who the hell is this new mascot?! haha!) Well, actually we requested for ronald, but the mcdo staff said he's no longer available because he's always being harassed. HAHAHA! I didn't understand that, but okay fine, kid mcdo it is. I'll have anyone EXCEPT GRIMACE, and I'm glad bev's cool with it. haha!

Anyway, I'd like to take this chance to thank everyone who came. Bev and I are so grateful, so amazed that almost everyone who confirmed weeks ago really made it! Thanks too for the gifts, I'll open them on my real birthday :)

college reunion na rin! :) *

our cakes :) and the magical candles
we had to blow them 5 times! haha! *

Now, if you think having this kind of party in the late 20s is totally NOT cool, you're so wrong! and this party is one proof! Yeah yeah, I'm entering the late 20s in a few days, BUT I'm not bothered at all. I welcomed my age with a fun Adult-kiddie party! I feel so young again! hehe!

See all pics here. Enjoy! :)

"Nag blog na me here, basa u ha?"

A friend and I got to talk about trends in text, chat and microblogging, thus I concluded that technology has indeed changed this generation's definition of "sharing" or "responding" or even "cute". How?

EXTRA TRIMMED DOWN TEXT SHORTCUTS. we shortcut a term so we could type fast, but there are just some who cut too much till a word's no longer understandable. Like: aq for AKO, xe for KASI, etc. Those are just the tolerable few. What I can't tolerate is THE FAMOUS YOU AND ME: kain na me! (to shorcut ako), punta na u? (to shortcut ka na). So, do you really have to mix english pronouns with tagalog sentences? I don't like it. and I know a lot who don't like it too. It's not cute, I tell you. while I know some can understand me, I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY SOME PEOPLE HAVEN'T FIGURED OUT YET THAT IT IS SERIOUSLY ANNOYING.

TOO SUPERFICIAL (OR TOO MUCH) MICROBLOGGING. people write almost everything about their day through microblogging (twitter, FB wall post, etc) when in fact there are just a few things in your day that's worth sharing. unless you're watching a 24-hour live hostage-drama. You know what I mean? I know someone who posts "Today I had mocha frap. yummm!" in that exact wording and casing. EVERY SINGLE DAY. I also know someone who religiously posts his whereabouts, to the point I know his every furniture at home, the Jollibee branch where he eats breakfast daily, bar he's visiting tonight, and so on. it's totally fine with me, it's none of my business. but just a thought: microblogging shouldn't be a means for you to flaunt every atom of your life nor for you to be stalked right?

UNCUTE CUTE CHAT RESPONSES. H-syndrome is really popular -the adding of letter H after some letters to make words cute: koh, akoh, ditoh. and even bad words. like potah, pohtek, etc. Or the Z-syndrome for lolz, anywayz, etc. There's the sms-trend too in chats, like the famous you and me: "nag email me, nareceive na u?". They're all not cute! Oh, this one is quite famous too (around here at least. and yes I don't find this cute either): When I have a question answerable by yes or no, the response I get is either "uu", or "uu" with the "^^" after, or just "^^" for maybe or no or yes -figuring out entailed. Do you know that letter O is just an inch away from letter U?! haha!

I've been just rolling my eyes, now I'm glad I was able to blog this too. I don't mean to offend anyone okay, I'm just sharing here what annoys me. I'm sure everyone is annoyed of something. or maybe I make annoying remarks too. Anyway, write your own, I'm totally cool with it. Now would you like to add something? please friends, tell me I'm just being normal here!

some change - christmas template!

I need some change! So... I'll start with my blog template. haha! (change is good, so from now on I'll change my template every season!)

guilty as charged.

I came in so early (and the office's still closed) so I decided to get something from Starbucks. On my way back to our building, I saw manong magtataho waiting for his suki buyers as usual. He saw me, but before he could say anything, I immediately looked away...

because I knew I traded his P20 big cup of taho for a P100+ cup of coffee =(

proud to be punctual and practical

I'm glad that I've started this week right. I woke up early because I want to be punctual again. coz I counted all the salary deductions caused by tardiness since August, and gee, I realized they could've bought me a new pair of shoes now. Or N cups of starbucks coffee for my planner. So there, I came in earlier than usual today (and yes I'm not late!), thinking that a good start means being punctual again for the next 4 days at least.

Anyway, last week a friend invited me for a serious hiking trip, which really enticed me and made me so excited until I got to think about it more last weekend... I know I can't travel more this year -I have cc debts which I want to settle by December. I'm also saving up for something really big (no, it isn't what you think, I'm sure. haha) and I know that a hiking trip would cost more than the known budget. Like, I don't even have hiking sandals now, and I think that trip requires hiking shoes! SO... this morning I backed out. It's really sad but I know it's the best move to keep things on track.

:)

collectin' stickers once again!

As what most have been sharing lately: YES the red cups are back! I stopped being a starbucks planner fan since 2007 (I mean, I stopped collecting stickers for 2008. I have the 2007, that was the last) but this time I want to give it another chance because I think I've revived my habit of manually organizing stuff. In fact I'm using an ordinary planner now which I bought from National. haha!

So, today I had my first cup, then got even more delighted by the samples. They're slimmer, and the cover's more artsy. AND there are 3 designs to choose from! awesome! The barista by the way said that these planners will again have the DISCOUNT COUPONS. WOW!

Now I feel like it's late 2005 2006 again, when I wanted the 2006 2007 planner so badly! it was the LAST starbs planner which I really liked! (tama ba? 2006 yung ring bound na makapal tapos may black leather jacket???) It didn't have coupons but it had more add-on stuff inside. and a pen. Anyway, I really really like the upcoming version. must be the cover! so I'm definitely getting it!

(edit: cie confirmed that when I said "the last planner I really liked", I was actually referring to the 2007 planner. haha! thanks!)

(edit again: Anton of Our Awesome Planet posted pics here. Thanks! I needed too see ALL THOSE DETAILS! Now I'm loving the planner more!)

50 Days

I just finished the book 50 days, a blog-turned-book written by Marina Mahathir. I bought this book in Kinokuniya, Suria (KLCC, Malaysia) thinking that I really should get something that I wouldn't find here in Manila. hehe. Well, my random pick turned out to be a good one, as the author comprehensively narrated everything she went through, when her father had gone to a bypass operation, then a 50-day roller-coaster journey to recovery. Oh, her father by the way is Tun Dr. Mahathir, Malaysia's former Prime Minister. Now that makes the book extra special.

It wasn't just a typical "awww" book from a sweet daughter. Marina didn't overlook some of the issues and events known during that time, stuff from ins and outs of Malaysia and Islam. (It got me thinking actually. The issues we face now aren't new for other nations: child abuse, poverty, differences in religion, etc. Other nations have that too!) She also had pleas in behalf of those in need of financial help, organ donors, and prayers, especially those going through the same tough time at Institut Jantung Negara (National Heart Institute). I like the story of Hui Yi by the way, I'm glad she found a donor!

Lastly, Marina somehow gave a preview of Malaysia's culture from Islam ways, family ties to food. Interesting, really. Of course there's the main dish -the day by day news about her father's progress. The common, reliable, first-hand source for concerned Malaysians. Marina was indeed sweet and strong at the same time to do all those blogging.

I have to share some ooohs and ahhhs too. Among the VIP well-wishers of Tun Dr. Mahathir was our former President Fidel V. Ramos. which shouldn't be a surprise as the latter became our president during the former's reign in Malaysia. It was just nice to know that our nation was somehow represented when our neigbor was having one of their toughest moments.

Now here's another not-so-important insight: The book had several paragraphs written in Malay, but there's one thing I understood. when Marina explained what Dadeh was, she said it's a local yoghurt made from "susu kambing". Goat's milk I assume? I'm quite certain. when I was in Zoo Negara, goats were labeled as kambing, like Tagalog. and susu, in Tagalog, is... well... hahaha! ANYWAY, I'm really amazed with the closeness of Bahasa Malaysia and Tagalog! We really come from one race!

After reading the book I was happy to know that her father recovered completely in spite of his age, and the operation's danger. Prayers made it! I was relieved even though I don't know Marina personally. even though I also never cared about other nations' political figures before! I guess that's what hard-copy blogs can do, they make you feel as if you're reading a diary of someone you really know. hehe. Kudos to Marina, it was a great work!

So... I'm giving the book 4 out of 5. minus one for all the Malay stuff left un-translated. haha! (well, it was never meant for foreigners like me to begin with) Anyway, Her blog is here. Browse through Sep and Oct 2007 posts for the contents of 50 days...

pre-birthday thing

ok, here's the positive post counterpart :)

I received an early birthday gift from my bestfriend, Tanya: a Coach purse which I can use for my strolls, lunchouts and travels. I needed that, I love it!!! The parcel also had some of her recent pictures, and a birthday card which made me remember that time when we exchanged snail mails almost every month. haha! I missed that! I must write something tonight! Anyway, thanks so much bes! that was so sweet!

I'm exactly 2 weeks away from my birthday. I know it's still far, and I know I'm not supposed to make a big fuss over my birthday, as it was in the previous years, but I dunno... this one excites me. must be the upcoming mcdo birthday party with bev. Or because my bestfriend gave me an early preview. Or, because I'm happy that I'm so over with the quarter life crisis! (urmmm. still, there's the love-hate relationship with my work, but that's life, it should no longer be part of my quarter life crisis, right? haha!)

Anyway, speaking of birthdays, TO MY SISTER ATE MINNIE AND TO MY CO-MCDO-CELEBRANT BEV, HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! parteeeey time!

Phil Post mini rant

yesterday I saw a Phil Post "claim stub" with my name on it, inserted through our closed door. Apparently someone sent me a parcel which can't be delivered straight to our house (is that the normal process?), or which was sent while I was sleeping and no one else was at home. Anyway, I know I'll go through some hassles knowing past testimonies about post offices and customs, so I promised myself not to blog anything about it. I'll get the parcel. period.

BUT I CAN'T HELP IT: So there was I at 2nd floor of Alabang Public Market to get my parcel. I went to window 7 with my ID and Php 35 (oh btw, what was the fee for???), then an old lady processed my parcel. thank God there was no queue! but it took 5 minutes for her to read my stub, 5 minutes to give the change, 5 minutes to give the receipt. That was all tolerable, until she got back after another 5 minutes from the shelves area, holding nothing, then said "miss may nag claim na pala nung package, ibabalik ko nalang yung bayad nyo na P35".

(MY JAW DROPPED. I can't believe it, the hassle I've dreaded started to creep in! and in my head: "GANON LANG? AREN'T YOU GOING TO INVESTIGATE AT LEAST WHY I HAVE A CLAIM STUB AND WHY SOMEONE ELSE CLAIMED MY PACKAGE?") So, I said "Miss, panu nangyari yun, may claim stub ako e." she said nothing and continued re-gathering P5 coins for my refund. So I interrupted "Miss, paki double check. ang recipient e LEDA CABRERA. shelf #385. baka ibang shelf tiningnan mo". (ayos ba, I knew which shelf! that wasn't my job! good I read that before giving the stub! haha!)

Thank God she listened this time, then realized "ay oo nga, AILEEN [somethingsomething] pala tong tinitingnan ko... sorry a, kukunin ko ulit. ito ngapala yung receiving logs (hands me a thick log book), paki sign nalang". Annoyed, I replied "PAG NAKUHA KO NA YUNG PACKAGE, SAKA KO PIPIRMAHAN YAN." waaah! sorry umakyat na bitchness level ko!

Then finally, she handed me my parcel. I signed the log book, then left. WHEW I'm glad everything's done! but really, that kind of service still frustrates me a bit (a bit. kase nag sorry naman sha. hehe). Yeah, in the end I got what I wanted but WHAT IF someone else experiences the same thing? someone not too vocal I mean. the customer will be shooed away with no logical explanation? the parcel will be there for 30 days and will be sent back to the sender? just because some disorganized lady can't double check her work? because "someone else already claimed the parcel even though someone here HAS the claim stub"? UGH.

I won't write more on how one should deal with this or how Phil Post can improve. These stuff happen in the Phils EVERYDAY, it's been like this since 19-kopong kopong, till forever. In fact I anticipated it, right? I just have to rant and let things out. There, I'm soooo done with my negative morning aura!

Anyway, I'm now holding my parcel. FINALLY! and it turns out to be an early birthday gift from someone. woooooowwww super pampalubag loob! and this deserves a separate "positive" post :)
