Now this isn't house-related: I went to NBI's satellite office in Tunasan Muntinlupa to renew my NBI clearance (beside SM Muntinlupa). After falling in line at window 3 (renewal) for almost 2 hours, and after waiting for my name to be called for window 6 (releasing) for another 2 hours — no kidding!!! — I finally gave up and asked if I could go back some other day.
Good that they were friendly and not masungit, it was easy to get info on how to follow-up through phone and what information to give, etc... so there, I decided to just leave and go back when my clearance's ready for pick-up, it's just near our village anyway (yeah yeah, I should have waited OR left as soon as I was done with window 3 right? ugh.)
I wish I followed my officemate's advice — to get the renewal in Quiapo since it's faster there, and more systematic. I just thought it would not be practical if my name has a "HIT" then I have to go back after one week right? but at least, if I went to Quiapo, I should've avoided lots of hassles!
As my mom would say, "ano pa nga ba aasahan mo? ahensya ng gobyerno yan e!". Though I now defend *some* government agencies coz of the projects I'm handling, there's always some truth to her line! ANYWAY. At least, I'm done with one superdooper long line! I don't want to rant more... as tomorrow I can say "one down" again. hopefully.

if by Quiapo office, you mean yung sa Carriedo, good thing you didn't go there, kasi closed na yun. They moved the office to Monumento. Kakakuha ko lang din kasi last week ng NBI Clearance. Sa Carriedo maayos, pero dito sa Monumento chaos. Sungit pa nung kumuha ng picture sa akin.
@bev: yeah ung carriedo, kung san tayo kumuha ng NBI clearance for the first time (alala mo yun? may HIT pa nga names natin. bwiset. haha!). closed na pala un? yeah buti di ako dun nagpnta! mas nabwiset cguro ako haha!
I need to go to the NBI office too to renew my clearance!!!! waaaah what branch ka? =)
@carla: sa muntinlupa, katabi ng sm muntinlupa, malapit na halos sa san pedro laguna. taga san ka ba? that branch might be too impractical for u kung taga north ka... try monumento :)
advice ko though: if matagal ung pagtawag sa releasing, balikan mo nalang ng ibang araw (tawagan mo nalang sa landline to check kung ok na).
yung akin kase, tinawagan ko nalang to ask kung pde na i-release. nung ok na, ang bilis, dumeretso nako sa releasing window the next day. i got it in less than 2 mins! :)

advice lang on nbi clearance, ask mo kung nagbibigay sila ng nbi renewal card sa mga satellite office nila. kasi pag may ganon ka, you'll get to renew your clearance much faster, i think you get to skip 2 or 3 steps :-)
@cie: onga e, yun din sabi ng officemate ko, di ko naisip :( para next time sa park square nalang noh? (meron pa ba nun?) owell, problemahin ko nalang pag kailangan ko na ulit magrenew! haha!
