I was thinking that it's just a normal lunch, a simple table with samples of our menu, and a short meeting with our contact person ...But no, it was actually VS&F's huge food tasting event, which they do about 2x a month in The Grand Terrace (QC). So, it's like a mock wedding reception of VS&F to showcase their foods and partner suppliers, with guests having different orders. LOL.
Day before this, they clarified that they can provide only the tasting of our selected 4 main dishes. I didn't know that this actually meant, they'll provide something else for the rest. Yes, we had COMPLETE meals from appetizers to desserts, to tequila shots!

Lou's personal favorite is this - "Tiniim na manok". THIS WILL BE IN OUR MENU :) Sorry it has already been chop-chopped - it no longer looks appetizing. hehe!

All in all it was a happy bonding moment with our moms. We went home really full, while I went home full AND HOPEFUL that our guests will be satisfied as much on the big day. :)

hehe, bigla ko tuloy na-miss ang wedding preps! ganyan talaga magpa-food taste ang mga caterers, pampered ang "prospective" clients! we've been to a lot before finally choosing the ONE! btw, is this just an ordinary food tasting? or is it your FINAL food tasting? kasi pag final food tasting, dapat i-serve nila lahat ng nasa menu nyo :-/
i believe this is the final :( cge, i should ask kung meron pa isa (may isa pa kaming meeting for the linen selection!)
I don't think at this point that we're gonna change caterers though, kinuha na namin sila sa wedding expo pa lang, coz they're the only known caterer WITH NO OUT OF TOWN FEE! :D and that's a really big thing for us... hehe

napaisip ako sa "out of town fee" -- oo nga noh, out of town nga pala wedding nyo kasi bulacan na yun... all the while iniisip ko somewhere in fairview lang, haha! =D
oo noh, imagine most caterers charge +10-25% for out of town charges! having about 200 guests, napakalaking natipid namin (and i think this is because VS&F is just in fairview!) what's more, they gave us 20% discount kase booked-on-the-spot.
tsk. kaya kahit di pa namin natikman yung native foods nila that time, sabi namin BAHALA NA, manalig at magtiwala nalang sa pangalan kumbaga.. can't think of anything more practical than that option! hahaha!
haha! good thinking and good decision ;-) yup, somewhere in fairview lang ang main office nila... same goes with hizon's :-)
