An unabridged weekend kwento - after N years!

This will be the leda version of bev's post here. haha!

I spent most of my saturday at [muntinlupa] home, eating and sleeping. and watching TV. For the first time I watched Ms. Universe 2010 (replay). I knowww I'm such a loser, but better late than major major late! hahaha! my sister then texted me if I want to attend a free yoga class at Shangri-la EDSA. knowing that I'll be in Ortigas the next day anyway, I said yes! and managed to drag the new YES girl, bev! haha!

So there, Sunday I woke up early to attend the yoga class with bev and my sister. turns out that the class is in Chi Spa (oh, how sosyal!). Instructor was Binky - my sister's housemate back in college who's now a certified yoga instructor. Her style is cool, way deeper than the yoga classes I've tried in gyms before. We learned other koshas, or our layers apart from the Annamaya kosha or physical self (tama ba tong pinagsasasabi ko?). 2 hours flew amazingly like 30 minutes. It was really relaxing! After that, bev and I had lunch at Mcdo El Pueblo, then got our room for two in The Malayan Plaza, a quite new hotel that's just across Podium. I know, that really looked and sounded lesbian! hahaha! Sally, Marcy and Mae then came. Yes that's actually an all-girls night out, slash traditional overnight, slash Sally's bridal shower! (hahaha! peace, sally!) Yeppp, we managed to fit in a room for two!

I thought of bowling, shopping, pigging out, reading (while everyone's asleep maybe), and many more... but we ended up doing just a few things...

SHOPPING: Bev thought of Forever 21 in Megamall, and the idea thrilled me. I've been hearing a lot about it lately ...and yes, I've never been there before, ever. I'm not that shopaholic to know! also, I've been wanting a new mini skirt - denim or khaki ...so I was so excited! Anyway, so there were we, rummaging through varied girly clothes and accessories, when I realized that this Forever 21 isn't "Leda". haha! There's actually one item (just one!) that attracted me - a khaki skirt worth 1k. the lining was unique, and it had 2 huge black buttons in front, as far as I can remember. I was about to try it when marcy told me: "pag suot mo nyan sa labas, may kaparehas kang sampung babae na ganyan din ang suot!" hahaha! Thus I decided not to take it. thanks Marcy, that really saved my 1k! And you know, that made sense - in Megamall, it seems that wherever I looked, there's at least one girl holding a shopping bag from Forever 21!

We ended up in Cinderella instead, where I found a plain khaki skirt for half the price. And it was more "Leda"- dainty-er and cheaper for the same quality! I was so happy with it, also with the thought that I actually didn't drag the other 4 girls in that skirt-searching ...because each bought at least 1 item! (and it's funny that we even had them punched in one receipt, just for the raffle stuff -- where we won nothing. haha!) It was really fun, and quite overwhelming, because I've never gone shopping with these girls, ever! It's only now I realized that this is really therapeutic in a way. haha! Maybe we should do this once a month!

NOT SO PIG OUT: Then we had dinner at Chef's Quarter (I think). So-so italian food. Yep, no more bowling. Megamall was just so crowded and chaotic. We went back to the hotel instead, had ice cream from 7-11, videoke-ed for a while (which I didn't survive btw because the activity fit the trio more - sally, marcy and mae. haha!), THEN WATCHED THE REPLAY OF MS. UNIVERSE. again?! haha! I think by 12mn, we were all sound asleep.

I agree with Bev: we really are getting older! we can no longer do the overnight stuff we did 5 years ago!!!

But anyway, all in all, it was a blast! Things may be different now, and perhaps things will be different again after another 5 yrs, but I'll still want this kind of girl-bonding for a long weekend: no work in mind, no senti shit to share (haha!), no anything. Thanks Ate Minnie for the yoga, Bev, Mae, Marcy and Sally for the "all the single ladies" overnight! Sa uulitin!
