still living but expired

yesterday was such an awful day, as I realized that my remaining copy of birth certificate at home is old (yes, it's NSO authenticated but delivered years ago) and that according to Japan's embassy site, they require birth certificates issued within one year (same as when I got my passport last year). so at 2pm, I ordered a copy of my birth certificate through e-census then rushed to unionbank atc to pay for it. which means I'll get it sometime next week -tues or wed. which means andie and I should postpone the application for the 2nd time!
:(

I feel bad knowing that I should have checked this days ago. I feel worse thinking that really, this birth certificate "issued within one year" thing is ridiculous... birth certificates shouldn't expire till you die right!?

I feel the same way about the DLSU Alumni Card. I heard before (dunno if they changed the policy now) that if your card is expired, you can't enter DLSU. Parang, huh?? I understand that if your card is expired, you won't be able to avail of the discounts... but even if it's expired, it's still an indicator that you're really a graduate of DLSU!

@mela, yeah i agree! but hmmm i think it's because they have to earn somehow coz they're maintaining a dedicated office for the alumni? hahaha!

and nakakainis (lumalayo na topic hehe) I have officemates here who are grads of lasalle dasma, and they have alumni cards na lifetime validity, and they got it for free, or for a low cost ata. while tayo we have to pay 500 annually, or 5k for lifetime validity!

how unfair :-|
