NetBeans 6.1

(for non-java developers, go away)

Download Netbeans 6.1 ...the startup's so much faster now (while memory consumption dropped by half!) Also, under Services > Databases, MySQL's already included ...perhaps coz Sun already bought MySQL? So now, you can use the same IDE for browsing MySQL DB objects.

These are what I liked so far, though I know there's so much more. check out their site for more goodies. thus far I can say, it's worth downloading. but it's still in Beta --anticipate bugs. hehe Ü

netbeans is slowly making its mark sa market. It's way faster than before, and has much more features these days. But the problem for me is, I've been used to using eclipse, and it's not that easy to switch to another IDE from an IDE that is already pretty good, and that you've been used to using already. But of course, it's still worth a shot.

ya hassle tlga pag nagswitch, you have to re-familiarize urself with the GUI, features and all...

though sakin di applicable ung hassle kase ever since natuto ako gmamit ng IDE, netbeans na gamit ko. haven't tried eclipse, though I heard it's a good one too...

sa work kase netbeans kagad default java IDE since we always use sun app server (9.1 or glassfish already comes with netbeans installer) and andali nya gamitin when making web services ...our projects require so much of that!

in CAI-STA would you believe nabuhay akong editplus lang gamit ko (notepad na may kulay) haha
