Project Leaderleaderan

WORK. WORK. WORK. It's what I've been up to lately ...and I can't believe I survived the past weeks with that. Imagine, I've been juggling 5 different tasks from 5 different projects! documentation in proj A, programming in proj B, supervising in proj C, discussing matters to client in project D, and reviewing client requirements in project E. aaaaaargh!

Ok, I guess it's manageable ...I just wish I have a whole day to re-organize my priorities, and to analyze who in the team does which. Especially now that my team's growing big, I need to assess their skills and to assign them in tasks where they should specialize to. Projects just keep on popping out one after the other that I tend to plunge into them right away, without doing the very very very basic pre-requisite, which is PLANNING.

oh, and I need a serious training on how to be a project leader ...I feel like I'm overdoing things, just because I don't know yet how to delegate tasks. I'm not used to it, you know. I still feel like I should be responsible even up to the smallest detail. like I should code code code like I'm cramming for some student project when in fact the youngsters should be the ones doing that. my boss is right... I should get away with that, and stop worrying too much if it's fair for my team mates or not, because leaders are already done with that stage. tama diba?

hayyy. STRESS. wake up leda, things are different now!

The only thing I love in this season is that I barely notice the time. Fridays now seem to come so quickly! SO... I shall continue the ranting on monday ...pause muna. hehe. all I want to do now is to sleep, till my eyes are sore of sleeping. mwehe. :D

people power daw?

80,000 rallyists? oh c'mon, it's not even half of that in EDSA 1 & 2! There will never be another people power... filipinos are tired of it.

Work After 6

Our VP called me a while ago to inform me that I need to give comments on some client document, which he'll be reviewing tonight. He didn't say it was urgent but it sounded like one (would he call in my cellphone at 9pm if it's not?!) and so I did it... and just finished it actually. whew! oh, and I thought I could sleep early tonight! aw! haha!

I thought I'd be cranky after that ...but would you believe, I'm actually amazed now by how things like this sometimes make me think so quickly. Thanks to the art that DLSU taught me - cramming. hehe :D and to the style which I learned here in the company . a.k.a. Devil Wears Prada. There's no Plan B. Love your work. Give your biggest shot.Ü

potato croquettes

I made potato croquettes 2 weekends ago --one of my feel-good dishes, as I just based on my instincts (haha, I’m so anti-cookbooks coz ingredients there are hard to find within the home’s pantry) and because I cooked it, WITH LOVE. naks! hahaha! I was motivated by how he loved the croquettas we ordered in Una Mas and d’Mark’s.

I’ve always wanted to post the recipe somewhere, just for my future reference, but I didn’t have time to do so. Now here it is. Thank God for non-working holidays! Hehe Ü

Ingredients:
3 large sized potatoes
1/8 c evaporated milk
2 tbsp bacon bits
1 egg, battered
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 small red onion, chopped

Dash of the following:
Salt
White Pepper
Italian seasoning

Flour with salt and black pepper, as breading
or breading for fried chix sold in supermarkets

Boil the potatoes, then mash. Peel them if you want, though I didn’t peel mine. Fiber din un. hehee. Add the milk, egg, bacon bits, garlic, onion, salt, white pepper and Italian seasoning, then mash it more till evenly mixed. Roll into balls (about the size of a squid ball) then roll over the breading. Deep fry till they're golden brown. That’s it! Serve with mayo or ketchup as dips. I guess it’s better if you add cheese, and real meat like chicken or slab bacon in the mashed potato mix (I used the artificial bacon bits coz it’s what I found at home!) and next time I’ll probably take a picture of it... Ü

I'm settling here

I’m reviving this blog after N years! coz livejournal and multiply are now gossip portals, where we normally post unsolicited thoughts that are read by ppl who are just obsessed with checking out what’s new within the network. (I’m one of them. Hehee.) Blogs are meant for readers who are interested in it. right?!

I also decided not to change anything here like the layout, title and subheader... Though honestly nababaduyan nako sa pinagagagawa ko dito 4 years ago haha. I'll keep the authenticity of this blog, till my OC-ness nudges me. so there, I’m now settling here. Enjoy! Ü
