07-05 Reflection
-today's verse-
The LORD is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
Psalm 145:18
now i remember one of those afternoon talks in SOLV, where we were taught how to have a good prayer life. the speaker said that in praying, you have to be bold. naked before God. completely honest... even if it means telling Him these:
"Lord, i feel lazy today."
"Lord, i feel like i don't wanna pray today"
"Lord, i think i'm beginning to lose faith"
"Lord, i've done something wrong & it's still hard for me to correct it"
through honest prayers, you'll find yourself moving closer to God. God has subtle and magical ways to let you feel that things aren't incorrigible after all. try it!

Triple Celebration
I just went home from the birthday bash of jemma, ana and paul-ali. wala akong masabi kundi... BUSOG AKO! hehe :D It's nice to see ginPom after four months! after third term last schoolyear, i never saw them again (except my thesismates, of course)
anyway, I just realized that i'm really getting old. few years ago, we talked only about cmprog1, and how to survive it. now, we're talking about work, thesis and other stuffs that i used to imagine ...and one by one, we're reaching line of 2!

Candice
she should be 20 by now -- my dear friend who passed away 4 years ago. she's one of the 131 passengers of Air Philippines flight 541...
the Beoing 737 crashed at samal island in april 19, 2000. It's sad to think that the plane crashed few minutes before landing. the thought of a helpless, frightened girl makes me feel sad even more. but i'm ok now :D I know it's destiny ...it's God's plan.
my tita who lives in davao said that if you'll visit samal island today (the exact spot where the plane crashed), you'd see newly planted trees, arranged according to the passengers' seating arrangement, and each tree has a name --name of a passenger. i must visit that next year!
I miss you candice!
